Salus provided programming, medical planning and design services of new clinical services for The Polyclinic in their expansion into the Northgate area of Seattle. As part of the programming efforts, Salus conducted numerous LEAN studies to determine optimum layouts and best flows of materials, staff, and patients. The practice is organized into team “pods”. Each team has support staff (MA, scheduler, etc.) co-located with the physicians. The “pod” is adjacent to its assigned exam/consult rooms. This is a pioneering application of a panelized modular wall system. The system incorporated an innovative vacuum plumbing system that prevents the need for penetrating floors for plumbing. The combined wall and plumbing systems allow for a totally flexible environment.
